Former U.S. President DONALD TRUMP is reportedly developing a new cryptocurrency-themed video game inspired by the popular board game Monopoly, according to a recent report by Fortune. Anonymous sources familiar with the matter revealed that the game will be a modern twist on Monopoly Go!, a mobile adaptation of the classic board game.

Sources confirmed that BILL ZANKER, a key figure behind Trump’s earlier ventures into memecoins and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), is supporting this initiative. While a spokesperson for ZANKER dismissed comparisons to Monopoly as “hearsay,” they acknowledged that a game is indeed in development and is expected to launch in April.

One of the sources disclosed that ZANKER had been planning a Trump-branded game since May 2024, aiming to acquire the license for the Trump version of Monopoly from Hasbro. However, Hasbro informed him that they no longer held the rights to that specific game.

This latest venture marks another step in Trump’s growing involvement in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. In 2023, he launched World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform designed to strengthen the U.S. dollar’s dominance and support those underserved by traditional banking systems. Earlier this year, Trump introduced his own memecoin, followed by the launch of USD1, an institutional-ready stablecoin, in March.

Trump’s foray into the gaming industry is seen as an extension of his efforts to leverage blockchain technology and digital assets, further solidifying his presence in the evolving crypto landscape.
